Carlisle City
Council
Bookmysurvey has been working with Carlisle City Council since we
successfully negotiated EU tendering process in 2007.
Carlisle City Council hosted Cumbria Energy Efficiency Advice Centre
and provided project management for most of the energy efficiency work
in Cumbria.
Allan Dickson is the Principle Housing Officer for the Private Sector
at Carlisle City Council:

Blackburn with
Darwen Borough Council
Stuart Pye is the Housing Support and Customer Services Manager at
Blackburn & Darwen Borough Council was introduced to Bookmysurvey by Cumbria Energy Efficiency Advice Centre in 2008 because they
were so impressed with the service provided by Bookmysurvey. Stuart
says:
“Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council first worked with
Bookmysurvey through the Lancashire Energy Efficiency Advice Centre.
Initially customers contacting the centre who wanted insulation work
carrying out were referred directly to the installers. This proved to
be extremely problematic with a very high level of complaints about the
installer regarding the poor level of customer care and service. The
insulation industry has traditionally had a poor image from a customer
delivery aspect, but there didn’t appear to be any solution
unless the Council took control of the process. This would have been
both time consuming and would use resources which could be better
deployed elsewhere.
Bookmysurvey has transformed the customer’s journey through
one simple process. The web based booking system allows an appointment
to be made immediately for the surveyor to visit at a time which is
convenient for the customer and the appointment is always kept. The
system also allows for tracking the progress and for customer advice
and problem solving. There is also a monitoring and reporting system in
place.
Having access to all the information
without having to resource manage the process has been a valuable tool
in helping the Council deliver both its energy saving targets as well
as assisting in the meeting of NI 187 targets.” |
